Connecting people and seeking deeper levels of meaning by unique stories

Why LENS TV?

LENS TV (www.lenstv.eu) is a unique streaming channel, aimed at connecting people, seeking deeper levels of meaning. LENS TV is television about things that matter – topics that give food for thought. It encourages you to think about your life and that of the people around you.

LENS TV wants to drive conversations by collecting stories that people see mirrored in their own lives. The channel features stories like that in various categories like ‘Heart for the Homeless’, ‘Live From the Log House’, ‘Stories of Passion’, ‘Body, Mind & Soul’ and ‘Encouragement’.

“All it takes is a conversation”

That thought is the key of the content of streaming channel LENS TV. It features genuine, impactful stories of people from all walks of life. From the homeless to entrepreneurs and artists; if people have passions that impact society, this is where you will discover their story.

LENS TV wants to connect hearts and souls. Have people open their eyes to each other’s walk in life. We need this. More than ever.

Theo Lens, who started the platform, is focused on the goals of it’s content: “This is television that is meaningful. We provide food for thought. About yourself and the people around you. LENS TV wants to facilitate the conversation by collecting stories people recognise in their own lives”.

live from the log house

LIVE FROM THE LOG HOUSE lets music drive candid conversations. Theo Lens often receives creative, musical guests in his Log House: a wood cabin that puts both established artists as well as new talent at ease. It provides a great backdrop for concerts, livestreams and interviews with artists around the fireplace. It’s an environment that lets you discover new music and gets people talking!

In HEART FOR THE HOMELESS Theo Lens explores his own passion: providing a face and voice for the homeless, in the Netherlands and abroad. LENS TV features, for instance, the gripping documentary ‘HOME AT LAST’. It tells the story of Theo’s life and his discovery of the world of the homeless. Find out more yourself in a variety of real life portraits and gripping reality tv.

Who I am

My name is Theo Lens. I was born in The Netherlands in a small village in 1953. As the eldest son of a doctor, my future already seemed set. For the first part of my life I was an angry youngster. After boarding school I was determined to become a musician. Following a stay with my hippie friends I went on as a musician and performed (inter)nationally, in different outlets: as a solo artist, as part of a band or as part of a showband. It ultimately led to running a recording studio, and owning a record label and management company. Later in life I ran my own event agency and organised many impressive events for large business companies. I made good money, but I fell into the trap of working too hard and not paying enough attention to my beloved ones, which resulted in almost losing myself. I decided to sell my company and committed myself to my family, music and the many beautiful things that came my way. Even though I left my ‘wild’ years behind me, I still think people in this society focus too much on work, money, property, status, security and power. I want to use my abilities to make television aiming to connect people and seek deeper levels of meaning.

Every homeless person needs a friendly word – a dialogue – to experience dignity and to cherish hope. The foundation calls to get involved with homeless people, by greeting, approaching, or indirectly supporting them. The foundation and its ambassadors offer a future perspective wherever possible or support to individual homeless people on their way back to a life away from the streets. In addition, the foundation wants to contribute directly and indirectly to homeless people to be able to live safely.
